The 2014/2015 season brought so many opportunities. I was so fortunate to perform great works such as The Nutcracker, Mendelssohn Symphony 2, Beethoven Symphonies 7 and 9, Haydn's Creation, Shoshtakovich 5, etc. I also had the great pleasure and opportunity of performing with the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, musicians of the Toledo Symphony, and many other area professionals.

2015 promises to bring many changes--all of which I am eagerly awaiting! In July, I will be marrying my best friend, violinist Lydia Dutciuc. Additionally, we will be moving to Los Angeles, California as I pursue graduate study at the University of Southern California. I cannot wait to see what awaits me in SoCal.

I am so thankful for all of the opportunities I had in Ohio. I feel well-preapared to take on LA! I will undoubtedly miss my home state, and I look forward to visiting and sharing my experiences. Plus, who knows where my career will take me after my time at USC!

My reflection on 2013...

posted Dec 15, 2013, 9:22 AM by andyfavorito

This past year for me has been great. I am truly appreciative of every opportunity I have been given. I had many musical firsts in 2013. I got to play several bassoon audition excerpts in an orchestral setting (Bolero, Alborada del Gracioso, Tchaikovsky Symphonies 4 and 5); I was afforded the opportunity to substituite with the Dearborn Symphony; I played for the first time symphonies of Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Schubert; I performed on the stage of Detroit Orchestra Hall; I took part in two new works for multiple bassoons with professionals from Michigan and Ohio...I could go on and on. The point being I have been blessed with many opportunities and I greatly look forward to what this next year holds.

In 2014, I already know that I will be performing with the Perrysburg Symphony, playing in Orchestra Hall several more times, and that I will have a solo recital in March. I am sure that many more opportunities will arise and I eagerly await them.

Thank you to all who support me and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on what is going on!
